How to reach

By air

• Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi (DEL) — The gateway for the whole region. Gurugram and Faridabad are inside its metropolitan ring; Rohtak, Sonipat and Panipat are 70–120 km out.
• Chandigarh International Airport (IXC) — Physically located at Mohali but serving Panchkula, Ambala and the northern districts; the practical entry for Morni and the Shivalik edge.
• Hisar Airport (Maharaja Agrasen) (HSS) — Limited regional service; useful for the western districts and Rakhigarhi when flights are running.

By rail

• Ambala Cantonment Junction (UMB) — The busiest junction in the region and the interchange for the north.
• Kurukshetra Junction (KKDE) — On the Delhi–Ambala main line, walking distance from the Brahma Sarovar circuit.
• Panipat Junction (PNP) — For the battlefields, the dargah and the textile market.
• Rohtak Junction (ROK) — The Bangar core, and the interchange for Jind, Bhiwani and Hisar.
• Hisar Junction (HSR) — For Rakhigarhi, Agroha, Hansi and the Bagar.
• Rewari Junction (RE) — A five-way junction and the base of a working steam locomotive shed; also the rail approach to the Ahirwati and Mewat tracts.

By road

Getting around

Haryana Roadways buses reach almost every village and are the default, with shared jeeps in the Bagar and Mewat. Delhi Metro reaches Gurugram, Faridabad and Bahadurgarh, which puts the region's southern edge on the city's network. Rakhigarhi, Morni and the Mewat ridge villages effectively need a car.
