- Visakhapatnam International Airport (VTZ) — The region's gateway, shared with the naval air station, with Gulf and Southeast Asian connections alongside domestic traffic.
रेल मार्ग
- Visakhapatnam (VSKP) — One of the busiest stations on the Howrah–Chennai coastal trunk route, and the junction for the ghat line.
- Vizianagaram Junction (VZM) — Where the coastal line meets the line inland to Raipur through the Eastern Ghats.
- Srikakulam Road — The station for Srikakulam town, Arasavalli, Srikurmam and the northern plain.
- Palasa (PSA) — For the cashew belt and the Odia-speaking mandals at the top of the region.
- Araku — On the Kothavalasa–Kirandul line, reached through dozens of tunnels and high bridges. The passenger train up is the journey most visitors actually come for.

City buses, autos and app cabs in Visakhapatnam; buses and shared jeeps everywhere else. Vizag to Araku is about 115 km by road or five hours by the ghat train; Vizag to Srikakulam about 110 km; Vizag to Etikoppaka about 70 km. The agency roads are best done in daylight and not at all in a downpour.
