Sora funeral dialogueSora
Not a song so much as a conversation. A Sora shaman enters trance and speaks in the voice of the dead person, who argues, complains and negotiates with the living family in ordinary language. The exchanges were recorded in detail by anthropologists working in these hills and are the region's most unusual oral form by a distance.
