Marwari Mercantile Diaspora
A trading community that carried its vegetarian Marwari kitchen, its Jain and Vaishnav institutions and its accounting practice to every commercial town in India, without losing the marriage networks back home.
अंतर कहाँ है: Calcutta Marwari food absorbed Bengali sweets and mustard; the Assam branch financed the tea trade. The kitchen travelled better than the dialect.
Aravalli Bhil Corridor
Bhil and Bhilala communities along the Aravalli and Vindhya slopes, with the Gair dance at Holi, Pithora wall painting and the Baneshwar fair drawing across all three states.
