Humid subtropical, hotter and drier than north Bihar — around 1,000 mm of rain, falling almost entirely between late June and September, and less reliable than the northern districts receive. May and June reach 42–45 °C with a hot westerly wind; January nights fall to 6–8 °C.

घूमने का सबसे अच्छा समयOctober to March. Pitru Paksha at Gaya, in September or October, is extraordinary but the city is completely full; Bodh Gaya is at its best from December to February, when the Tibetan teaching season brings tens of thousands of pilgrims.
