  • Gaya International Airport (GAY) — With direct seasonal service to Bangkok, Yangon, Colombo, Thimphu and Singapore for the Buddhist pilgrimage — an unusually international airport for a city of its size.
  • Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport, Patna (PAT) — The region's main airport, about 110 km from Bodh Gaya.

रेल मार्ग

  • Gaya Junction (GAYA) — On the Grand Chord; almost every Delhi–Howrah train stops here.
  • Patna Junction (PNBE)
  • Rajgir (RGD) — A terminus station, well connected to Patna.
  • Bakhtiyarpur Junction (BKP) — The junction for the Bihar Sharif and Rajgir branch.

Shared autos and buses between the towns; Patna to Gaya is about two and a half hours, Gaya to Rajgir about two. Bodh Gaya is 12 km from Gaya and full of cycle rickshaws. In Pitru Paksha and the winter teaching season, book accommodation well ahead — both fill completely.
