Kullu & Mandi · Western Himalaya & Trans-Himalaya
कैसे पहुँचें
हवाई मार्ग
- Bhuntar Airport, Kullu–Manali (KUU) — A short valley-floor runway about 10 km from Kullu town. Flights are frequently cancelled for weather and should never be the only plan.
रेल मार्ग
- Chandigarh (CDG) — The practical broad-gauge railhead, roughly 270 km from Manali by road.
- Una Himachal (UHL) — A closer railhead for the Mandi basin from the Delhi side.
- Joginder Nagar (JDNX) — The terminus of the Kangra Valley narrow gauge, on the region's western edge — slow, scenic and of no use if you are in a hurry.
सड़क मार्ग
NH 3 — the Chandigarh–Mandi–Kullu–Manali highway, continuing through the Atal Tunnel to Lahaul and LehNH 305 — the Aut to Banjar, Jalori and Luhri road, the way into SerajThe Pandoh–Mandi gorge stretch, four-laned in parts and closed by landslide in othersOvernight bus from Delhi, roughly 530 km and twelve to fourteen hours
जल मार्ग
No navigable water — the Beas is a rafting river between Pirdi and Jhiri, not a transport route
स्थानीय आवाजाही
HRTC buses reach almost every road head and are the sensible way to move here; shared taxis run the Bhuntar–Kullu–Manali axis constantly. The Seraj and Parvati side valleys have thin, weather-dependent service, and the last leg to many villages is still on foot.
