| Kullu Dussehra | Begins on Vijayadashami, October | The festival begins on the day Dussehra ends everywhere else. Well over two hundred village deities are carried down from their valleys in palanquins to Dhalpur maidan at Kullu, where they attend on Raghunath, the state deity installed in the seventeenth century. There is no Ramlila and no burning effigy of Ravana; the content is the assembly itself — precedence between deities, disputes settled, nati danced by thousands — and it closes after about a week with a brush fire on the Beas bank called Lanka Dahan. Deities that decline to come, or that cannot meet each other, are noted every year. |
| Mandi Shivratri | From Maha Shivratri, February–March | A week-long fair at which the deities of the Mandi hills converge on the town and call first on Madho Rai, the presiding deity of the old state, and on Bhutnath. It is the same institution as Kullu Dussehra worked at a different season and around a different centre, and it is the year's first great gathering. |
| Dhungri (Hadimba) fair, Manali | May | A three-day fair at the Hidimba temple in the deodar grove above Manali, with the goddess brought out and nati danced in the trees. |

Minjar belongs to Chamba over the ranges, Fulaich to Kinnaur, and the Lavi trade fair at Rampur to the Sutlej valley on the Shimla side. All three are frequently listed as Kullu or Mandi festivals and none of them is. |
