- Jalgaon Airport (JLG) — Limited scheduled service; the practical air entry is usually elsewhere.
- Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Airport (IXU) — About 160 km from Jalgaon and the usual approach for Ajanta from the south.
- Surat Airport (STV) — For the western end of the valley and the Nandurbar side.
- Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport, Indore (IDR) — The nearest airport for Burhanpur and Asirgarh.
रेल मार्ग
- Bhusawal Junction (BSL) — One of Central Railway's largest junctions and a divisional headquarters, where the Mumbai–Howrah and Mumbai–Delhi routes diverge. Almost everything through this region passes here.
- Jalgaon Junction (JL) — The main station for the district and the standard railhead for Ajanta.
- Chalisgaon Junction (CSN) — For Patnadevi, Gautala and the branch line to Dhule.
- Nandurbar (NDB) — On the Surat–Bhusawal line, and the entry to the Satpura slope and Toranmal.
- Burhanpur (BAU) — On the Bhusawal–Itarsi main line, for Asirgarh and the Khooni Bhandara.
- Amalner (AN) — On the Surat–Bhusawal line.

स्थानीय आवाजाही
State transport buses and shared jeeps reach every taluka town, and jeeps are the only reliable way onto the Satpura slope, where roads close in the monsoon. Ajanta requires a change to shuttle buses at Fardapur. Distances in the valley are long and flat; a car is the practical way to combine Ajanta, Patnadevi and the Tapi towns in one trip.
