Hadoti · Arid Northwest
भूभाग और पारिस्थितिक अंचल
Semi-arid to sub-humid, and the wettest part of Rajasthan after the southern Aravalli slope. Kota takes roughly 800 mm a year against Jaisalmer's 150 mm, almost all of it between late June and mid-September. Summers are severe — 44–46 °C through May — but the plateau cools faster at night than the sand country does, and January mornings on the Jhalawar basalt drop to 5–7 °C.

| मौसम | महीने | सामान्य | कैसा रहता है |
|---|---|---|---|
| Winter | November–February | 6–27 °C | The season the region is built around. Wheat, coriander and mustard stand in the fields, the Dussehra and Chandrabhaga fairs have passed, and the Chambal gorge is clear enough to see the length of. |
| Summer | March–June | 27–46 °C | Hot but not sand-hot; the plateau holds shade and the canal command stays green. Bafla and dal, cooled chhaach and kachori sell hardest in this window. |
| Monsoon | July–September | 25–35 °C | The Chambal dams — Gandhi Sagar, Rana Pratap Sagar, Jawahar Sagar and the Kota Barrage — release in sequence, and Menal and Bhimlat run as waterfalls for a few weeks only. |
| Post-monsoon | October | 20–34 °C | Soybean harvest, the start of the fair season, and the clearest air of the year over the ravines. |
घूमने का सबसे अच्छा समयOctober to March. Late July and August if the point is the waterfalls at Menal and Bhimlat, which are dry the rest of the year. The Chambal boat trips for gharial run best from November to March, when the water is low and the animals bask.
