हवाई मार्ग
- Bagdogra International Airport (IXB) — The regional gateway, on the Terai plain west of Siliguri. Everything in the Dooars is between one and five hours east of it by road.

रेल मार्ग
- New Jalpaiguri (NJP) — The main junction for the whole region and the interchange for the Darjeeling narrow gauge.
- New Mal Junction (NMZ) — For Malbazar, Chalsa, Gorumara and the western Dooars gardens.
- Hasimara (HSA) — For Jaldapara, Madarihat and Jaigaon.
- Alipurduar Junction and New Alipurduar (APDJ) — For Buxa, Jayanti and the eastern Dooars. The line between Siliguri and Alipurduar runs through several forest divisions, and trains hold reduced speeds along those stretches because of elephant crossings.

Buses and shared jeeps between the market towns, autos in Siliguri and Alipurduar, and forest-department vehicles for the reserves — private cars are not allowed inside the parks. Safaris and forest lodges are booked through the forest department, entry is closed through the monsoon, and roads through the reserves are shut to traffic at night, which is not a formality.
